Confidentiality

I place a high importance on confidentiality and discretion. What happens in our sessions is completely private, excepting in certain exceptional circumstances, if your wellbeing or that of others is seriously threatened. In that case, I would always discuss the situation with you first. If you have any worries about confidentiality, or indeed any other aspect of psychotherapy, I would encourage you to talk to me about your concerns.

I will not disclose any information about you to your GP or other health professional, or anyone else unless you explicitly request me to liaise with them on your behalf.

I discuss my clinical work in supervision with a senior colleague from the mainland, in order to maintain a high standard of work, but individuals are not identifiable.
